Interestingly this is a post that gest lots of hits in the search engines of life on the internet. The original post and then one more post later with the corrected spelling still draw the intrest of pantone color theorists and astologers wanting to know what color influences their life. :)
This is what the site says about my aniversary date ! here is the web site location for Colorstrology
Your

No wonder I am having fits with J
Teenage mood swing hormone found
Kevin the teenager is one of the most famous stroppy teenagersTeenage mood swings are known to be down to hormones, but scientists claim they have identified the specific one that makes adolescents so volatile.
A team from the State University of New York identified a hormone which normally acts to calm anxiety, but the effect is reversed in adolescence.
Writing in Nature Neuroscience, the researchers say it may be possible to reverse the puberty effect.
And they add the study should help parents and teachers understand teens.
There is a biological basis for a teenager's mood swings
Dr Sheryl Smith
A hormone called THP is normally released in response to stress.
It usually behaves like a tranquiliser, acting at sites in the brain that calm brain activity and, in adults and pre-pubescent children, helps someone cope with stress.
But a mouse study by the New York team shows THP actually increases anxiety at puberty.
'Things are harder for teenagers'
They found that the target for the hormone, a specific receptor, is more prevalent in the part of the brain which regulates emotion during puberty.
This appears to reverse the normal calming effect.
Dr Sheryl Smith, who led the study says it is so far unclear why this happens, but she suggests it is because of the action of all the other hormones which come into play at puberty.
Dr Smith and her team were able to genetically alter the receptor to reverse the puberty effect.
She said it might also be possible to block the effect of the hormone.
But Dr Smith said more research was needed before that was possible, and a more immediate benefit of the research might be to help parents and teachers understand what teenagers were going through.
"This research has revealed that there is a biological basis for a teenager's mood swings.
"They can be frustrating for parents and teachers - as well as the adolescents.
"As adults, we just deal with things, but it is harder for teenagers because of their biology. I think it's important for people to know that."
Well this is pretty interesting, though not helpful when J states how much he hates me and living in my home, how terrrible his whole life is and why his sister, stepbrothers are fat and not caring about being outside, I have taken away his only means of happiness the ability to be outside! he thought he was riding his bike well enough 6 months ago to be sponcered, but no we won't help him buy a new 600 dollar bike he wants to keep up with the " jones" and then well he can get sponcered . And Gee I told him trust fund babies and kids who have richer parents are the ones who can let there kids ride bikes and snowboards, instead of working and being a responsible adult. as you can tell I am over him for sure, I am looking forward to pawning him off on my friend Alice, out in Brush and be on my way to a girls vacation next week.

Where I come from (WIF)
I am from the wilds of Germany, before the Berlin wall fell, the Rockies covered in purple mountain majesty and the suburban areas were I live.
I am from the sun and the moon, the earth and the sky. I crave a time long ago when the pioneers came west.
I am from breakfasts in the early morning and grey hair in the early 30’s , from Lacoste and Spector and Golden roots .
I am from the unconditional lovers and the artists.
From silly fingers in belly buttons and sweet dispositions.
I am from Jewish, Catholic, and found my own way Episcopalian.
I'm from Germany, France, and Connecticut Yankee, I am bushe de noel and steak and potatoes. Plain and fancy.
From the romantic story of my mom and dad’s love affair, the joy of a Christmas morning spent in the southwest Texas sun with great aunt Frieda and great uncle Nick and the warmth of love in the hearts of my brothers David and Greg
I am from scrapbooks done by my Grandma Ann and Aunt Sunny, photo albums from my mom and photographs from my Dad ,black and white stills of a life led around the globe, super 8 tapes transferred to video. Priceless mementos of an international existence for a down home little girl.
I am from a book that held my name before I was born, the bible says I am a beautiful woman, I say I am powerful and creative and I can handle it.
this is the link to the WIF web with a template
and here is where i first ran into this an blogger with a prize at the party below
I thought this was pretty darn cool and will use it in a scrapbook page I think or at least include it in my book of ME.
WOW what a party
so I thought I would at least add some images to my post like this one, I love to cuddle up and get cozy

a blog party !! ?? !!!
a team sport! scrapbooking
So many creative pursuits are like this, aren’t they? We thrive when we surround ourselves with others who value creativity and who challenge us to grow and try new things. I know when my creativity’s blocked, if I stop and chat with a friend about what’s stumping me, the ideas will be flowing again in no time. "

I love this quote and thought from Alan and from Katie!! I can't wait to do a team sport soon with my pals-

random ness with pictures

This is making memories big sticker letters! I put these on the mirror for S on valentines day - we had a dance at the church too, it was fun, my former co-worker came and did the dj thing, we had a lovely turn out about 20 people given that the snow was falling and traffic was terrible and crazy.

The Girls in posterized form! these are Hh's girlfriends from school, we took them roller skating and to pizza and had a blast crafting each of them a altered letter, they each got one cute t-shirt with a butterfly on it, some sox and other cool items in their goody bags. they didn't get much sleep but they had fun. We wanted to go see bridge to terabethia movie, but not everyone wanted to do that. This wild hair came on after we got back and were opening presents... they made me laugh and laugh.
My aunty is talented lady too, here is her newest endevor at a great age. A web page showcasing her artistry and life, my family - she made wood cuts and prints from those, it is facinating , my long lost 2nd removed cousin made these pages for her.
Josh Golden is a talented musician along with his wife, and he can be heard here on his joshualittlestream page , he plays guitar and sings and is just nice. I am happy to have made some contact with him as well, and hope to cultivate a friendship in the future too.

This is the best stuff, my girl Kate this is Tupperware!!! cool cup and outstanding snack set of 4 just for valentines, with the best homemade tags and yummy chocolate. And it came just in time for the best valentines day celebration.

Then there is The real Birthday of Hh, who is now 11 years old, the best gift she got? was this

this is the cuddly lamb from build a bear- she collects lambs and this was the best, it says 5 different hip girl sayings- including lets go shopping. HHHHaaaaaaHaaaa

bibles and cell phones
Bibles and cell phones
What would life be like if we treated the Bible like we treat our
Cell phone?
What if we carried it around in our purse or pocket?
What if we turned around and went back home to get it if we forgot it?
What if we flipped through it several times a day?
What if we checked it regularly to receive messages from the text?
What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?
What if we gave it to our kids as gifts?
What if we used it when we travel?
What if we used it in case of emergency?
Where is my cell phone? Hmmmmmm...where is my Bible?
Which one is easier for me to find?
Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell phone, we don't ever have to worry about our bible being disconnected. Jesus Christ has already paid the bill.

I am blogging from work today
My intention was to take some time and get my resume together, but I took on another temporary job for Kelly doing some test scoring. I did this at the begining (the test scoring) and enjoyed it-i really haven't enjoed the phone call center work. I thought I could handle it but I discovered I really couldn't - I gave it the old college try anyway. the test scoreing is on some level more an intelectual persuit and all the folks there are college grads, makes for an interesting mix of backgrounds, lots of off work or retired educators or students needing flexable temp jobs. the compnay is called measured progress.
So I had an "exam" in the HR field on the 8th of feb with the U of Colorado in Boulder, I did o.k. and passed the exam!!! I ranked number 4 and the top 3 got the interviews. but i remain on the list in case someone else declines the interview or job offer. YEAH I am really quite proud of myself with this as the job is a " general Proffessional " position with the state university .
these are the things that are on my mind this morning.

my puppy dog - Gabby

This is my Dog Gabby ( Gabriel) - She has been very sick since right before my birthday, we have been babying her - Long doggies can have very bad back problems, and that was the beginning of the end for this sweet dog.
With all the bad weather and snow we have had icy mess in the yard and the little dogs don't like this at all, she had strained something about 3 weeks ago, we let her " rest up " all weekend and on Monday when she still wasn't feeling well we took her to the vet, on Tuesday the 30th . Well she really had a bad back issue going. She wasn't moving very well, so the vet gave us a bit of prednizone ( an anabolic steroid) and some antibiotics and told us we must kennel rest her. well after 24 hours she was feeling better and we let her over do it. so by Friday she was very down in her back and was worse than ever. She had a bulge you could see and she was losing feeling in her hind legs.
The vet we go to had a partner who does acupuncture and we let her do that on that Friday. We wanted gabby to get some relief. We continues the meds and the kennel confinement. and she really wasn't improving, we did another weekend and on Thursday she had another acupuncture treatment. our goal was confinement and treatments and to see how this all went. The doctor said she really was losing feeling and she had loss of control with her bowels at this point as well.
Last night - Saturday evening, she really didn't look well and wouldn't eat or take any food at all. this morning before we were going to go to church , she was urinating blood, and had a real mess going, I told S we had to do something, we couldn't just leave her. So we called the emergency number our vet refers too, and we took her there. As part of the back leg and paralysis she has been suffering the bladder was now infected, we discussed all the options, but felt it was really not a way for her to live, her recovery was not looking too good, and she has been deteriorating for the whole 3 weeks that this has been going on, we have tried to let here heal, but the vet said it was really bad now, and her kidneys could fail and her white cell count was very elevated. So we had to make the hardest decision to let her go in peace.
I held her and loved her all the while and we stayed together with her to the very end. This has been one of the worst days of my life. I am emotionally wrung out and done.
My friend Karen came to get Hh who was the only child we had at home this morning, and I was glad she didn't come with us.
there is another part to this story - remember my neighbor who cut down my tree? well it turns out he's been shooting the dogs. I went to see if I blogged about the tree? but I didn't find it.
anyway one of the things my vet did on the initial consultation visit on the back problem was take x-rays of gabby, so we could see the disk problems, when she came flying out of the exam room, wanting to know how long have I had my dog and did I know my neighbors? Well he has managed to shoot her 4 times and the other dogs have been shot too, I am taking them in next week for x-rays too. This had really aggravated the back issues for her for sure, as one of the shots was along the back bone and one in her rear end, but the other too ( b-b shots) were to her lungs ( aimed and placed to do her damage) . Unbelievably these have been there for close to a year or more now. As this neighbor finally moved out and tried to sell his house though he's not having success with it at all.
this is the worst part of this for me, this is a loving living wonderful pup and he couldn't stand her enough to shoot her! and my other dogs too. He might as well have killed her then for all the grief and pain we have been through in the last three weeks. I did report this to animal control, and I have a phone number for him so I am turning in that information too, along with the reports for gabby and the other two boys as soon as I get them x-rayed as well. I am not sure much justice can be done, as I need to have a witness to him shooting or possessing the air rifles and pellet guns. But the vet and the animal control have both said this is a felony offense, so maybe karma will get him.
I am going to bed now it has been an awful day and a I fear a fitful night for me. But my gabby has gone on to play with all the other puppies and friends that have gone before her. RIP my little girly girl

A palm, a pan and a plan??
The earliest known American reference to Groundhog Day can be found at the Historical Society of Berks County in Reading, Pennsylvania. The reference was made Feb. 4, 1841 in Morgantown, Berks County , Pennsylvania storekeeper James Morris' diary: "Last Tuesday, the 2nd, was Candlemas day, the day on which, according to the Germans, the Groundhog peeps out of his winter quarters and if he sees his shadow he pops back for another six weeks nap, but if the day be cloudy he remains out, as the weather is to be moderate."
In the U.S. the tradition derives from a Scottish poem:
- As the light grows longer
- The cold grows stronger
- If Candlemas be fair and bright
- Winter will have another flight
- If Candlemas be cloud and rain
- Winter will be gone and not come again
- A farmer should on Candlemas day
- Have half his corn and half his hay
- On Candlemas day if thorns hang a drop
- You can be sure of a good pea crop
I got a palm pilot to organize my life, a pan that I wanted from Steven and a wonderful gift of thought and time from my girlly HH and this morning I didn't see my shadow either and so I along with many of my friends are hoping for a shortened winter.
I got all the best cards and greetings from all my friends! and my family - I am so blessed I can't even tell you the best of it is just knowing that they all love me.
