bibles and cell phones

This was sent to me by a friend and I thought it was an interesting ring a dring for me.

Bibles and cell phones

What would life be like if we treated the Bible like we treat our
Cell phone?
What if we carried it around in our purse or pocket?
What if we turned around and went back home to get it if we forgot it?
What if we flipped through it several times a day?
What if we checked it regularly to receive messages from the text?
What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?
What if we gave it to our kids as gifts?
What if we used it when we travel?
What if we used it in case of emergency?

Where is my cell phone? Hmmmmmm...where is my Bible?
Which one is easier for me to find?

Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell phone, we don't ever have to worry about our bible being disconnected. Jesus Christ has already paid the bill.

Oh my, that's good.

When I was first married (and about 6 months prior), I had a bible that I carried with me EVERYWHERE. I could finde it now, but it's not close like before.

And why I carried it is because I actually took time to read some of the New Testament once.

That is good.

I have one I carry in my purse. I always pack my favorite one when I travel.

I don't flip through mine several times a day. I do think I would be uncomfortable if I didn't have my little bible in my purse though. It's like carrying a safety net with me wherever I go.

I just wish it hadn't taken me so many years to discover the comfort my bible offers.

Oh, that is a great post! Wowser, guilt trip here! Not that I even own a cell phone, but I need to have that strong of a love for my Bible, I used to bring it everywhere and read it all the time. Life was much smoother, wonder why I stopped?
