happy 4th of July -

Hh is going to a lacrosse game at invesco field with friends and neighbors- there should be great fireworks and fun times. SSD2 wanted to Go home and that is where S will take him this evening too.

we had a nice time yesterday with our Friend Dan and J came by and stayed for dinner and some fun after and before. I am so proud of him, he finally got his driver's licence and is driving his own vehicle. he is a grown up guy these days, It is nice he can set aside some of the things and make a little time for me.

The weather was fairly mild today and we just had a bit of a rain shower- nice for the firemen and police not to worry too much about the fireworks. Maybe we will try to go somewhere for a " view " of some of the 40 to fifty displays happening around the City and Suburbs of Denver.

Thanksgiving

many more things that i can't even think of- my life is truely blessed.

the day after?

Saturday fun, homestyle.

we had a nice dinner at home, a fun fireworks afternoon. - and fun decorating a few of our personal spaces- front and back of the home.

should be working , not posting!

we are off for a spector - side thanksgiving tonight and for a few days. S and I, J and Hh and SSD2 will be there along with my nephew, Mom and Dad and oldest bro and wife.

this is the 1st time in about 20 years oldest bro is close enough for a gathering at this time of the year. it will be strange to not go to KS for the holiday. We go about every other year to S's dad's mostly and that is a long trip. This will be less of a haul as we are going only to Cheyenne. I hope the weather will hold for a few days, as cold is fine but snow and ice are not fun for traveling.

I have a long list of things to do today to get ready,
wash puppies ( they are coming too)
pack
bake extra turkey- ( its in the oven now)
bake pies ( pumpkin- and cherry)
gather up stuff to take with us,
sleeping bags need to be rolled ( all washed and ready to go)
buy a couple more items missing
and pack up the van.

I am thankful to be spending time with my family this holiday and I am so grateful for my health and my job and my wonderful children, and fantastic husband. - I hope I will remember all these things, and my camera to document this occasion!

please have a lovely holiday, I will try to post from the road, we are taking a laptop and Steven has his PDA-phone - but if you don't see anything here don't worry I will post again soon!

Jamie - who is in my side bar contributes to another Blog called Skulls, find it here - she asks us to really enjoy the holiday this weekend.

Well in my Real life maybe that would be the ideal thing to do, along with contribute my 1000 dollars to my church for the holiday, buy the presents and have them professionally wrapped already.... feel satisfied that my peeps were going to receive the best christmas cards ever ( not!) and that my sparkling house would be inviting all my neighbors and friends for a little party. Oh yes Oscar has hit me over the head with this quote today... well it is the small things that make the season and the real reason, so celebrate what you have and say thanks for all the blessings we really do have in real life.
