That might be me.
It is time to fire up my life again as I know it.
I have decided to continue to blog.
I took a hiatus for a while as I recovered.... it has been one long hard year.
my long and varied illnesses have pursued me from the end of July a year ago up till now. I don't want to really go into them further- suffice it to say at this point I want to be moving ahead and I think I may just be right at the edge of that fork in the road!
I want to continue to document my everyday existence , the things I find inspiration in, the trials and tribulations of an ordinary life, raising children. pursuing art- working for a living.
I am looking forward to capturing images ( I already have with my camera on my new windows phone) with my trusty Kodak and with my mind.
I look forward to finding new friends and seeing and finding the old ones too. In the last few days Facebook has allowed me to re-connect to two friends from my days as an independent girl.
I am looking ahead to days of wine and roses with my S, amazingly we have celebrated our 12th anniversary this month.
I am looking ahead to a spring and summer of softball with Hh and then into the fall.
I am looking ahead to adventures long ago put aside.
I am looking forward to finding my voice again. - cards - letters-blogs and scrapping too
Thank you to anyone who has patiently waited for the return of this missing blogger. Kisses and big hugs for waiting to see about the rumors of my demise.

SIGMA

say what? I am a sigma ( linfield college mcminnville, or) along with lots of other things. Today as I was looking at e-mail I came across one that i recieved a few days ago. It came from a current sigma ;-) , which led me to go back to visit thier website in progress ..... then to take a tour of some others .... maybe someday mine will be linked there too.
In that process I found this little wordpress blog - http://averagefantastic.wordpress.com/
Average Fantastic to young women who are getting it right, learning what make them indvidual and special and fantastic.
I took me a long time to get there ... but I am getting happy where I am. Thank you ladies for reminding me of the joy and youth and inspiring me with your photos and words.

1000 posts later!
I can hardly believe I have 1000 posts with this one! When I started writing this blog i wasn't sure where it would lead - I had boys at home all the time :) LOL and a girly girl Hh, I craft , I alter, I vent and I have taken tons of pictures.
I don't get as much traffic as I used too and i have slowed a bit on my posts, my life has lost it's young boys and they are all growing up. But I still love this form of communications and it is like a little piece of me i can leave in the world. it has allowed my the opportunity to document my life with kids and spouse and friends. it still allows me to show the world what things i love and care about. What things I discover a passion for.... how i live and what i do. it has been there for me to tell about the hardships of raising sons and the hardships of losing a job and gaining a new one. the tough things and the joyous things the little things we celebrate and the big things we take for granted.
My life is full of things I love - things i am so blessed with that i can't imagine how i could want to be anywhere else. I still have my desires for material things that I don't have, I want to be able to get out of the debts i do have and i want to be even happier in the future. just a few things on my list ! LOL but i am always traveling down the path that god is directing me i am still rowing along but he steers an awful lot and i am a grateful soul that he is in my life.
So thank you my friends and family that are loyal readers and love to " see what we are up to" here in my little corner of the world. I feel your presence in my life and i hope this blog continues to provide you with joy in your life and you learn a little something every now and then. You all inspire me to keep posting my thoughts on life and what it gives us.

888
This is actually 889:) - posts that is- wow this is quite a feat, almost 4 years of blogging it is hard to believe I have been so prolific! There have been lots of projects, updates, stories and tons of pictures.
I am proud that I still get quite a few hits on the Colorology- misspelling, and the Colorstrology links to the pantone web site! It is fun to see what the search engine brings me, I still come up pretty high on the misspelling and it always makes me smile. Color is an interesting concept for me, and the thought of coloring one's " special days" with interesting color is a happy thought. The search for things with meaning in our lives...special to us, we connect with others and the universe in a small world kind of way.... this is how the subject connects me to the web and the world. So go a seek color, I have a few links here and you can explore many more.
lately the thanksgiving turkey I linked to a couple of years ago is bringing in searchers - fun for kids to color. See color in our lives?
My secret Santa ( neighbor) - is an interesting search too, people are looking for those special holiday things already. This economic crisis may be stimulating my blog searches for things we can do for others that don't cost too much! Love your Neighbors and pass on good tidings and cheer.
The little( mini) mail boxes I created this year at Valentines day bring lots of good search traffic too. they were in the dollar bins at target, I keep on the look-out for those deals when ever we visit my favorite big box retailer. I always find what I am shopping for at target.
one other item of interest is the " trailer trash" invitation my Friend Kate made and I posted to the web. This image gets associated with - redneck woman because I included the lyrics of that song with the graphics of the postcard! - oh boy you just never can tell what people are searching for. I am glad some of my fun scrapping items do get googled and I get visits from all over the globe for my top items of interest. -
So if you have read this far, thanks for stopping in and taking a look at my Creative Life, leave a comment if you want to, and really thanks for taking a little time to stop and search for the things I write about! :)

All beaded! A fantastic evening
This is my Troop Guide- and over on the far side the ScoutMaster for my Woodbadge course. I am getting my new neckwear and with me are SSD1 and Hh and my S- This was one of the best nights ever for me in Scouting. We had a great turn out and a nice Dinner and a large cake.
Here we are All my Patrol mates - we are doing the antelope cheer- look up on the slope there's an antelope!
We agreed that the patrol flag would go to the person who is getting their beads, Brian got it for 4 short days, I get it until the next person beads and then I will take it to them for their beading. what a fantastic support system.
this is about number 5 in a series of photos that S took, with Me and my Boss and my supervisor! we laughed and chatted our way through most of the photos S took but this one really cracked me up- my expression in priceless.
All in all this was a lovely way to spend an evening. my friends, my family, my troop and a great bunch of boys!

Real Life
"One's real life is often the life that one does not lead." Oscar Wilde
Jamie - who is in my side bar contributes to another Blog called Skulls, find it here - she asks us to really enjoy the holiday this weekend.
Well in my Real life maybe that would be the ideal thing to do, along with contribute my 1000 dollars to my church for the holiday, buy the presents and have them professionally wrapped already.... feel satisfied that my peeps were going to receive the best christmas cards ever ( not!) and that my sparkling house would be inviting all my neighbors and friends for a little party. Oh yes Oscar has hit me over the head with this quote today... well it is the small things that make the season and the real reason, so celebrate what you have and say thanks for all the blessings we really do have in real life.
Reading through my bloglines Blogroll, this is an older post from killer hobbies, Joanna has an interseting take on the holidays. Thanks for sharing thoughts on real life and the choices we make.

snow, snow and more snow
it's begining to look alot like christmas around town. It snowed all day in Boulder and the buses ran slow, but I am thankful for someone else doing the driving, I can't believe what a stress reducer that is. I actually get some unwind time. I have read more books in the last 5 months than in about a year too:) I am currently reading an innocent man by John Grisham, and just finished Playing for Pizza by him as well. I am happy to read authors I like.
I am contemplating the return to education, possibly my Master's degree, The U provides us with the opportunity to take some credit hours in our " field" this could be a very good thing.
The video clips below take a while to load, but they are fun and worth veiwing and listening too, I am so proud of Hh and all the good things she is accomplishing. She takes pride and satisfaction in the goals too.
J is at his Dad's currently we had a falling out, and he did a few things that I don't agree with or want to condone, it is a hard line to take- but I am a parent and not a friend, is a mantra I have to take as a parent. Though love is hard. It is hard to explain that I love him, but don't want the bad behavior and I have rules and expectations to live by in my house. His indiscresions, lead to a suspention from school and a ticket- maybe time one on one with Dad is what he needs... it is hard
Working on some projects and will be scanning in my Woodbadge Scrapbook soon, for all to enjoy. I want to put together a digital version for distrubution to my patrol mates and some friends. It was a great project to put together. so be looking forward to that soon I hope.
I also want to get back to my regular blogging schedule. So don't hold my feet to the fire, but I will try to be a better blooger.
