cinco de mayo - mi III
we went to see Tom Cat in MI:III - yes action - computer, evil villan, good yeah, great no but nice to get out to a theater. Though it was a testosterone loaded night. the guys in back of me farted through the whole movie - I am not talking little ones, but the ripp roaring kind, then next to S. sat a guy that must not have bathed in 2 weeks at least. For the price of a movie these days I wish it were a better all around experience.
we had a good hamburger at red robin and had a good date night.
we watched casanova, last holiday and family stone on video too.. so all in all a good movie weekend.
Loved loved Last holiday, love the Queen- she just gets better...

rounding up APRIL
Here's the April roundup:
April events & information:
What books and/or magazines did I read this month?
I read Digital Fortress- by Dan Brown ( wrote the DaVinchi Code) It is intriguing and so interesting premises., I finish my first reading of Moving On By Sarah Ban Breathnack , I want to go back and work on things in this book. I bought a copy of Rachel Ray’s everyday, and Real Simple . I got my creating keepsakes in the mail and my Memory Makers magazine.
What movies and/or tv shows did I watch this month?
We watched lots of movies this month, Narnia, Chicken little, The sisterhood of the traveling pants, matchpoint, memoirs of a geisha, brokeback mountain, heaven sent, best friends, and history of violence.
I was disapointed a bit in the Narnia movie, bummed cause some of the special effects were not as good or more distracting thatn helpful.
What special days did I celebrate and how?
S and I celebrated 7 years together in marriage by playing hooky from work and going up to the gambling town, for fun and lunch. April 17th.
What illnesses or health concerns did I have in April?
I ended up with a bad cold, still haven’t gotten over the cough, and everyone in my house had one too.
What fun things did I do with my friends and/or family?
I went cropping on the the archivers store near me, we went to Central city and gambled. We enjoyed some movie nights together.
What new foods, recipes or restaurants did I try in April?
We tried a new Mexican place down the road from our house , because our favorite one in the neighbor hood changed hands and now is not our favorite anymore. I am a good cook and hate to have to eat leftovers so I am always coming up with new recipes to try. We made salmon on the grill, and that was something new for me.
What special or unusual purchases did I make?
I bought myself a new pair of sneakers and a new pair of sandals, I bought all the kids shoes, we spent lots of money this month and all kinds of things. I made a cute little album for my neighbor.
What were this month’s disappointments?
That I didn’t get as much done as I would have liked and still haven’t sent my journals in to 1000 journal project. I wish all the time for more time to be creative, and better organization of my space, but I haven’t gotten motivated to do a real good job, I would love to have a friend help me to take and clean sweep my scrap area.
What were my accomplishments this month?
That I actually finished and gave away a whole album, photo copied it and made scans of it. That I blogged nearly everyday, that I took some photos Yeah.!! I finished two books.
Any thing else noteworthy to record about April?
I walked a lot!! Nearly 78 miles in the last 7 weeks, this is a wonderful thing, I am trying not to get down on myself more and this is a positive, Hh has faithfully come with me the whole time too- it is a sweet , faithful, and endearing her loving kindness.
visit Katie the scrapbook lady for great monthly memories and this roundup template idea - thanks Katie

i am working and waiting
I am waiting at work for the software person to show up so We can get to work on the final instalations of small business finacials. We use Great plains now, but are in a sence taking a downgrade to the SBF - I think it will be everything we need, it seems really user friendly and logical- two good things.
this weekend I took Hh to the mall, she spent her own money and bought some cute jeans and jacket and t-shrits, then I bought her a cute pink scooter skirt at Target..... she's a happy girl. She is at the awakward stage where nothing fits quite right, she is starting to get girlly but not tall enough yet to stretch out the jeans and things.
We went out to eat at a Colorado instatution last night Beau Jo's pizza - world famous mountain pies. yum

When someone becomes layout worthy
from Lisa Nugent at scrapbook ect.
When Someone Becomes Layout-Worthy
She writes
"This may be the silliest topic I've ever blogged, but Melissa insists that if I don't write about it, she'll post in my name. And you don't know Melissa if you don't think she'd do it. So here goes. I've been dating a fabulous guy for six months and we've been together in plenty of photo-opp settings. I have great shots of him and I at a wedding, dining with his friends, and laughing at a comedy show. But this man-of-mine has yet to grace my scrapbook pages. What's the hold-up? Well, scrapbooking is just such a permanent thing. It sounds ridiculous, I know, but if something should shake up our relationship in the coming months, do I want layouts of our time together? The ultimate question is, when does someone become scrapbook-worthy?"
This is interesting to me because I pondered this question when making some scrapbooks over the years, in my book of me, from baby up to my going to college days I did include some photos of past boyfriends, realizing that it was really a part of me.
But I am balking at the thought of going further, along in my book, and haven't for a few years now. This is because I got married the first time at 20 to my now ex-spouse and I don't want to record that story just yet. We were married for 12 1/2 years and I have two beautiful children that I wouldn't have if this didn't happen in my life. It is just so raw and emotional still even after being divorced for nearly 10 years it will be 10 years next month, and re-married for 7 years to the real true love in my life.
I have scrapped my new marriage and our relationship, but really struggle with my ex. I am working on books for the kids, each has an album of their own and I have included pictures of me and ex spouse in both my children's books, as well as my hubby and his ex in his boy's books. I have a professional wedding album from my first marriage and it is in the memory box for my son. I haven't taken it out to look at it in 9 years! So when will I be ready to document that life? I am still not sure. The bittersweetness is still too much today.
I know I need to for the kids, but I am not ready.

it's hot hot hot!
| You Are More Mild Than Wild |
![]() You're confident, and you really aren't concerned with how "hot" you are. Other people's ideas of what's sexy don't concern you. And this is exactly what makes you attractive. |

fun friday hair
Katie - what a gal - thanks to Angie heres the scoop.
Angie P at the blog of me- recomends Katie
"As soon as she introduced the series, I plunked down my money and ordered her to hook me up. Her guide did not disappoint. I was blown away by the amount of resources she had compiled: month-long themes, daily holidays, over 100 journaling ideas, quotes, and Internet links. Total brain-candy for a journaling junkie like me. And tell me I don't know a good scrapbook journaling resource when I see one.
And at $5, how can you beat it? I know it took her more than an hour to compile all those resources, and even the kids at McDonald's get more than $5 an hour! And when was the last time you were able to buy a scrapbooking idea book for $5??
But here's the thing -- when she first posts the availability of the next month's ebook, she offers a 50% discount to her blog readers! $2.50? Hello! Today she posted the offer again: May issue on sale 50% off. But only until midnight on April 26th (that's Wednesday), so hurry over there now!"
I second this , Katie's march memories madness was great, and what a nice job she did and such work putting it all together in one place.
I am off to get my copy now.
